The Shared Values Visa is a special immigration program introduced by the Government of Russia on September 19, 2024. It was designed for citizens of certain foreign countries who are interested in relocating to Russia and share the traditional spiritual and moral values upheld in the country.

The program offers such applicants the opportunity to formalize legal residence in Russia, complete the established migration procedure, and subsequently consider the country as a place for long-term residence, work, and integration.

How to obtain citizenship

During the three-year validity period of a temporary residence permit, the applicant is able to legally reside and work in Russia, as well as prepare documents for subsequent permanent residence.

Filing a permanent residence permit application during this period opens the door to long-term residence in the country and may be the next step toward obtaining Russian citizenship. If the established requirements are met and the applicant has resided in Russia continuously, they may eventually qualify for citizenship after five years.
